How to translate a menu with MenuGlass

Choose your languages, photograph a restaurant menu, and read translated dishes with prices and AI-generated images. Follow these steps on iOS.

Published by Handlerr Inc.

  1. Choose the menu and translation languages

In the menu creation screen, select the language written on the menu and the language you want to read. These settings are separate from the app interface language and can also be changed in your profile.

  2. Photograph or select the menu

Take a photo or select menu images from your photo library. Include the dish names, descriptions and prices in the frame, then submit the menu for processing.

  3. Read the results before ordering

Review the translated dish names, descriptions and prices alongside the original menu. AI images help you imagine a dish; confirm unclear details and ingredients with the restaurant before ordering.

Get a clearer reading

Keep the camera steady, avoid reflections and check that small text is readable. If the result is incomplete or incorrect, take a clearer photo and check the selected menu language. Your plan also limits how many items are displayed.

Does MenuGlass work offline?

An internet connection is required to recognize menus, translate text and generate food images. Connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data before submitting a menu.

Are the food images photos from the restaurant?

The images are generated by AI, not photographed at the restaurant. Presentation and ingredients may differ from the actual dish.
